Featured Show - The Warrior Sound
The Warrior Sound is a show hosted by Malcolm Thomas that knows no bounds. Featured Show - The Same Old Song
Bell bottoms, macrame belts, feathered hair, platform shoes. There are some styles that should never be resurrected. Soul, however, is timeless. It seems as though Billboard's Top 40 has just gotten wind of this, and as a result there's been a recent upswing in songs reminiscent of motown, 60's soul and funk. "The Same Old Song" (named after a song by the Four Tops) brings together the music of the baby boomers and of generation y. At last parents and children can agree that each other's music is not "just noise".

WSRN Back on the Airwaves!
As some local listeners have noticed, WSRN has not been operating over the airwaves for the past two weeks of broadcasting. Well as of today, we're back on the air (and still on the web, of course) and sounding cleaner than ever, so get those FM dials tuned to 91.5 and get them stuck there. And thanks for listening!

Featured Show - Home From The Honky Tonk
Home from the Honky Tonk (with Toby Altman) explores both the richness and the superficiality of country music. We juxtapose classic singles from staid Nashville favorites, like Merle Haggard and Patsy Cline, against the work of artists like Gram Parsons and Jay Farrar, who have reinvented country music's traditions. Each week on the show, we pick a theme, like break-up songs or songs about guns, and play songs relating to it. This week's theme: songs for hobos, robbers and failed financial institutions.
